The environmental programs at the Cephalonia Botanica are designed for kindergarten and elementary school children, and they take place over the course of 1 hour and 15 minutes. These activities aim to introduce children to the enchanting world of Kefalonian flora and help foster love, respect, and responsible behavior towards the natural environment.

To achieve this goal, basic programs have been developed. Educators can choose the program that best fits the age group.

The ultimate goal is for children to:

• Discover the complex world of plants through play and hands-on activities.
• Learn, in a fun way, about the importance of plants and animals for humans and for the future of the world.
• Develop love and respect for the natural environment.
• Adopt responsible behaviour toward the environment and its conservation.
• Come into direct contact with the Kefalonian flora.

The educational material used is designed so that the knowledge gained by the children at the end of the visit is a product of personal experience. The environmental activities cover a wide variety of topics and are flexible to the needs of the children.
