Plants from the collection of Cephalonia Botanica
At the Cephalonia Botanica on July 28, 2012. The speakers were Pavlos Samios, Painter and Professor at the Athens School of Fine Arts, and Cecil Igglesis Margellou, Translator-Critic. Samios also displayed his works of art inspired by Ionian flora.
Pioneering Winemakers
An evening dedicated to the art of wine. On July 23, 2011, six top pioneers of the art of wine in Greece participated and offered their wines for this event.
They were:
• Vangelis Gerovassiliou – Estate Gerovassiliou
• Vasilis Kanellakopoulos - Merkouri Estate
• Yiannis Boutaris - Kyr Yiannis Estate
• Yiannis Paraskevopoulos – Gaia Estate
• Giorgos Skouras – Domaine Skouras
• Marianna Cosmetatou and Petros Markantonatos – Gentilini Winery
The wine tasting was presented by Theodoros Lelekas, wine journalist. A dinner followed in the Garden’s olive grove.
Sculptures in the Garden
An exhibition of sculptures by 21 distinguished Greek artists – a targeted connection between nature and art. The art was on show for one month (July 31-August 31, 2010), with a particularly large attendance.
Orchestra of Colors
On August 25, 2008, in the fully packed open-air theater of the Cephalonia Botanica, the Orchestra of Colors gave a unique concert with works by its founder Manos Hadjidakis, conducted by Miltos Logiades.
This magical evening inaugurated the theater.
The Orchestra’s concerts continued successfully in 2009 and 2010.
